A few years ago I installed a stiffer than stock after market clutch, the clutch pedal is probably almost twice as stiff after I did this. Since then, when the car is cold, or on cold days, it engages fine, and I can shift easily, but when the car idles for a while, or when it's too warm, like on hot days, it feels like it doesn't push out the slave cylinder far enough, because it won't shift very easily, and it takes excessive force to shift sometimes. I know for a fact that my transmission is in great condition, so it must be the cluch. Even when it's cold and it shifts fine, you know the feeling you get when you push the clutch all the way down, like it gets easier at the end, it never gets to that, like it never fully engages the clutch to where you get into the "softer region", I thought maybe that comes from the stiffer pressure plate springs, but since it probably doesn't move the clutch springs to begin with when it's cold, and when the car is warm, I guess the clutch travel hits just below that critical level, enough that it won't let me shift easily. Sometimes it will even cause grinding, or if it is going from neutral, I can feel the gears "bump" because some are still moving when I shit into first, like from the clutch not fully engaging. I thought it's maybe the clutch rubber lines that get soft and expand a little when the car gets warm, they get a little softer and more flexible than when cold, so not all of the hydraulic fluid gets pushed into the slave cylinder, and therefore doesn't move it out enough. However, there should be some sort of clutch adjustment so I can increase the maximum slave cylinder travel, does anyone know how to do this? Thanks
